POWERCORE XLR LINE
PRODUCT DESIGN
For over 10 years Razor has produced the Powercore series of electric scooters, and are considered the flagship kids scooter. After 10 years of production with very few changes to the original design, it was time to refresh the product to better suit the newer generation of kids. The main goal for this product was to optimize the existing layouts by modernizing the design, and improving upon what the previous versions were lacking.
Enhanced Design: The updated Powercore line features a sleek modern design that keeps the profile of the previous model and is instantly recognizable as a Powercore. The biggest change implemented on the new design was using what the Razor design team dubbed the "XLR Frame" which was a flat sheet of aluminum cut to shape and bent/welded together to form the scooter frame. This simplified the manufacturing from the previous designs and decreased costs.
Improved Ride Quality: The "XLR Frame" design decreased the overall weight of the products resulting in increased speeds and improved durability. The XLR 100 and 200 models have the added benefit of a pneumatic tire, which further increase overall comfort.
Perfect for All Skill Levels: Whether a beginner looking to get started with their first scooter or an experienced rider seeking to elevate their skills, we wanted the Powercore line to be perfect for all skill levels. The user-friendly designs make them accessible to newcomers, while its advanced features provide the performance that experienced riders look for.
